Common Name: Bird of Paradise/ Crane Flower
Description: The leathery texture leaves have a petiole up to 600mm long and is slightly glaucous. The shape varies in from a long lanceolate-oblong to a short oblong blade. It is planted in parks and gardens as a specimen or in group plantings around water features and is used for a tropical effect. The attractive Bird of Paradise is grown for its striking flowers and clumping habit.
