Description: The Hedychium gardenerianum is an attractive ornamental Ginger with an upright habit and spectacular yellow flowers that appear during Summer. It will naturally die down in winter and re shoot in spring. Prefers a part shade position with moist well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Does not do well in harsh winters, so is best planted in a protected area or in a container. Cut foliage down in winter.
