Common Name: Red Flowering Gum

Description: Growing in a neat rounded shape, the thick dark green foliage provides the perfect background for the large flowers which appear in a profusion during the Summer months. Eucalyptus ficifolia has some of the brightest flowers out of all eucalyptus species. The flowers come in a variety of colours when seed grown; such as red, to pink, to orange and white. Useful as as a street or shade tree and attracts and feeds our native bird species. They can be extremely variable in height and prefer the southern states of Australian as humidity can be a problem for them.
