Description: The Hydrangea macrophylla Red Ball is a medium sized, hardy, deciduous shrub. In Spring the buds begin to form while the lush green foliage develops. By Summer the foliage and blooms are fully developed with large spectacular red ball like flower heads in abundance. You will need to protect hydrangeas from the hot sun, strong winds and it prefers moist humus rich well drained soil in a shady position.
