Common Name: Kaffir Lily
Description: The kaffir Lily has been bred for its brilliant blood-orange flower. It is a hardy and water-wise understory plant that prefers shade, making it an ideal for difficult areas of the garden. Although drought tolerant Clivias grow best with regular watering. Its leaves are long deep-green straps that contrast brilliantly against the orange flowers. Clivias bloom in late winter into springtime. Unlike the Clivia miniata, the Belgium Hybrid variety has thicker leaves.
