Common Name: Parrot's Beak
Description: An ornamental, deciduous, creeping, groundcover that originated from the Canary Islands. Lotus berthelotii is a highly appealing evergreen trailing plant, with fine silvery-green foliage and bright crimson, pea-shaped flowers from spring through early summer. This is a plant that doesn't do well during the hot summers and is often grown as an annual and removed once the days become too hot. Ideal as a ground cover, pots and hanging baskets where its foliage can cascade.
