Common Name: (Red Hot) Crepe Myrtle
Description: The Diamonds in the Dark displays near-black foliage and clusters of purple flowers in summer. They are an attractive feature tree in gardens and parks, and can be used as a street tree. They are a deciduous plant and will generally lose their foliage between late autumn and mid winter. The compact growth habit of all of the Lagerstroemia makes them attractive flowering hedges or beautiful trees to line your driveway or fence. Also perfect for planting in decorative pots to place on your deck, porch or balcony.
