Botanical Name: Citrus x latifolia
Common Name: Tahitian Lime, Persian Lime
Description: An espalier is a practice where a plant is trained to grow flat against a structure, whether that be a fence, railing or a trellis etc. This is done by pruning and then tying the plant to the structure. The Persian lime is a triploid cross between key lime and lemon. The small to medium fruit is pale lemon-yellow with smooth thin skin and is produced all year. The flesh is a translucent pale green, tender and juicy with a true acid lime flavour
