Acer X freemanii 'Autumn Blaze'

Common Name: Autumn Blaze, Freeman Maple

Description: This Canadian maple is a hardy, fast growing, deciduous tree with distinct upright branching. It is most noted for it's foliage, the lush green summer foliage that turns to a pink then to a crimson red in late Autumn. The smooth grey bark of the trunks will furrow with age, providing some winter interest. Can tolerate most conditions but prefers well drained, moist, slightly acidic and organically rich soil. The Autumn Blaze makes an attractive specimen tree in medium and large gardens.
